Genius Sports’ Mark Locke discusses sports integrity with Washington Congress

Genius Sports CEO Mark Locke has been invited to discuss how advancements in technology can help to protect the integrity of sports at a Congressional Hearing in Washington, DC on May 11, 2016.

The U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade (CMT) fact-finding hearing, entitled “Daily Fantasy Sports: Issues and Perspectives,” will receive testimony from industry experts on different aspects of the Daily Fantasy sector.

As a global technology leader on sports data and integrity, Genius Sports was asked by the Congressional subcommittee to provide testimony to lawmakers on security innovation in the sports industry.

Through its Sport Integrity Monitor (SportIM) product, Genius Sports currently works with governing bodies such as Major League Baseball (MLB), the English Premier League, FIFA and La Liga to help the leagues remain vigilant in preserving the integrity of their matches.

Locke said: “I am delighted to participate in the House Subcommittee hearing, and to share our view of the sports integrity area, and our Genius Sports technology in particular.
