Cherry AB subsidiary Yggdrasil Gaming (Yggdrasil) furthers its European online games provisions by confirming that it has been granted two Romanian ONJN licenses for online slots and operator provisions.
Following a review of services, ONJN Romania’s National Gambling Office has cleared Yggdrasil for servicing slots and games provisions to licensed Romanian online gambling operators under a Category 1 licence.
Yggdrasil is one of the first industry content providers to gain ONJN accreditation, as Romania officially opened its online gambling market to foreign operators in mid-2015.
Yggdrasil governance was pleased to strengthen its regulatory licensing, with the content provider having so far been accredited by UK, Malta, Gibraltar and Romania gambling authorities.
Fredrik Elmqvist Yggdrasil Chief Executive commented on the update: “It is fantastic news that Yggdrasil slots will now be available to customers in Romania.
“Gaining this licence underlines our commitment to local and regulated markets. We are working hard to strategically expand our jurisdictional reach and expect to see our licensed European footprint continue to expand.”
