AppBet horse racing tipster picks her Wincanton winners

The horse racing tipster for AppBet, the providers of a free online service combining odds comparison and integration with betting accounts, has supplied expert tips for today’s Tipster Challenge.

Sarah Shannon has been the AppBet horse racing tipster since the app’s conception back in 2015. A passionate tipster with over five years’ experience in the betting industry, she is currently on a roll with a 25% strike rate.

She will be going up against Stephen Harris and the experts from Timeform for the six-race meet at Wincanton. Harris, who represents leading affiliate bettingexpert, climbed a place to 9^th at Doncaster last week after a 15/2 victory on Rocky’s Treasure.

Has twice shaped well in competitive-looking handicaps in recent weeks, and this may well represent a good opportunity for him to add to his tally, despite conceding weight all round.

AppBet: Fountains Windfall

Despite being under a penalty for strong form in his recent handicap run at Sandown the drop back to novice company should suit him here, and with his trainer enjoying a good spell, he looks the one to beat.

Has shaped better than the bare result in both handicaps so far and can defy topweight.

Timeform: Pure Vision

Got his act together in handicaps to end 2016, and given his useful bumper ability, he can be expected to win more races in this sphere.

AppBet: Pure Vision

After winning at Lingfield back in December, he also put in a very strong performance to finish second at Uttoxeter last time out. Given weight by all the other horses in this race, he makes a strong case for an early double for A J Honeyball here.

Bounced back to his best at Leicester last time and has been found a weak race to follow up in.

Not an obvious type to follow up but has been found an uncompetitive event and remains on a fair mark despite a 10lb rise.

AppBet: Ballinvarrig

Placing in both his previous starts over course and distance, the nine-year-old should have the class to win this four-horse race after winning by 14 lengths last time out at Leicester.

Useful hunter has an obvious chance on the ratings and will like this speed track.

Timeform: Apple’s Queen

A small field but easy to make a case for at least three, with Apple’s Queen fancied to build on his point wins for the Alners and come out on top on his hunter chase debut.

AppBet: Apple’s Queen

Winning his last two outings on point to point courses, it looks as though the six-year-old will have a very promising career and she looks set to do well here.

Held in high regard by his excellent stable and can put two disappointments in bumpers behind her on hurdling debut.

Timeform: Tangley

Ran out a 10-length winner on her sole start in points and it would come as no surprise were she to leave her bumper form (well supported both starts) behind now sent hurdling.

AppBet: Tangley

Trained by Harry Fry, more is expected from this mare who has failed to fire in her last two bumper races. The switch to hurdles could be what she needs, and coming from a good yard she does make a strong case here.

Caught the eye last time and can improve to land this weak looking handicap.

Timeform: Lady Longshot

Made more of an impact on her handicap debut at Exeter and could be the one to beat.

AppBet: Skylark Lady

She makes a strong case here following her runner-up effort at Fakenham earlier in the season, she handles the ground and distance well and could pick up a first win for her new stable here.
