Tickets on sale for the betting industry’s end of year celebration

Single tickets and part tables are now available for booking ahead of this year’s new look SBC Awards, which takes place on Tuesday 5 December in central London.

More than 500 people will be at The Artillery Garden at the HAC, a stunning UK capital city venue, for the presentation of the 17 Supplier awards and 11 Operator/Affiliate awards.

Guests on the night will include representatives of headline sponsors OPTIMA and Golden Race, while the list of companies to secure an early table booking includes VSoftCo, Racing Post, HiPay, Perform, Square in the Air, Trustly, InBet Games, Vermantia, FavBet, bet365, Sporting Solutions and Jeton.

Joining this perfectly timed Christmas themed celebration, complete with a bespoke ‘Boogie Wonder Nights’ show and in-built dodgems, will also be a string of last year’s prize winners.

Harry Lang, Marketing Director for last year’s Esports Bookmaker of the Year, said:Winning the SBC Esports Bookmaker of the Year in 2016 was a great honour for Pinnacle and one every member of the business was very proud of. The SBC Awards are a highlight of the pre-Christmas calendar and hopefully we can repeat our success this year. Whatever happens, it’s a night not to be missed.”

Andy Wright, Head of Trading for last year’s Football Bookmaker of the Year Sky Bet, added: “It has been another massive year for Sky Bet, as we continually evolve our products to cater for the demands of our players. Winning the Football Bookmaker of the Year at last year’s SBC Awards gave the entire team a boost in the build up to Christmas. Given the ongoing popularity of our sportsbook, we expect to be in the shake up for prizes again.”

There are still tables available with a champagne and cocktail reception, three-course seated dinner and unlimited drinks, while there is more limited availability around the VIP tables, which also come with full company branding and five free bottles of champagne.

Meanwhile, having expanded the awards ceremony to cover 28 categories, SBC Events has received a record number of nominations from all areas of the sports betting industry.

Now that the nomination deadline has passed, SBC Events will draw up shortlists for each of the categories. The Operator/Affiliate Awards will then be put to a vote by anyone that attended this year’s Betting on Football and Betting on Sports conferences, while nominees for the Supplier Awards will be assessed by a hand-picked panel of experts.

SBC Managing Director Andrew McCarron concluded: “We’re delighted with the number of companies who have put themselves forward for one or more of the 28 awards designed to recognise excellence across the sports betting industry.”
