Heavyweight Sport launches content production arm

Heavyweight Sport, one of the shortlisted companies in the Marketing Agency of the Year category for this year’s SBC Awards, has launched a new content production division.

‘Pound-For-Pound’ is to be operated as an in house creative studio, with a particular focus to be placed upon digital content and video production.

The new division is to be headed up by BAFTA and Rose D’Or award winning producer Myles Jenkins, who has a number of television credits, including The Crystal Maze, Comic Relief and The Friday Night Project.

He said: “Our work to date has been devising and producing engaging and original content that not only drives views but also causes a reaction in the media.

“It’s an exciting time for content generation and a great opportunity for brands and businesses alike to engage and speak with their audiences in an innovative conversation.”

The agency, with a client list including Sky Bet, 188Bet, Bet Victor, William Hill, Skins Sportswear, and Cage Warriors, identified the need to expand their contenct creation and output.

Adam Roland, Director and Founder of Heavyweight Sport, commented: “We’ve been working with Myles and creating numerous multi- platform content pieces for several years now, so it was a natural step forward for us to launch a bespoke content division. We are delighted Myles, with all his experience in producing comedy and factual content, agreed to lead this exciting new area of the business.”

Jenkins was also the creator of Pepsi Max’s ‘Human Loop-the-Loop,’ one of the ten most watched YouTube UK brand films in 2014 with over 20 million hits.
