Traffic chaos….
The opening of the new “state-of-the-art” shopping mall in Tigne has dramatically increased the traffic in Sliema making it almost impossible to access it. Finding your way between the heavy trucks, obstructing cranes, road blocks and cars makes you wish to be beamed through that area.
As Alternattiva Demokratika kept on hammering over the years, traffic generated by these newly built constructions would put traffic in Sliema to a stand still, drown the local population in car fumes and discourage people to visit it. And this is not the end of it, more buildings are waiting to be finished or to be built.
