I never watched Xarabank, I just was part of the audience this year during the local council elections, sitting next to my old neighbor of the times when I lived in Qormi, now he is sitting in the local council of Qormi with a Labour flag. I spent more than two boring hours than not understanding Maltese. The only comfort I got were the little presents the audience could pick up at the end of the show: hairdresser vouchers, manicure vouchers…maybe an indication of the type of audience. This morning, some acquaintance asked me what I thought about the cancelation of last evening’s Xarabank. I thought of something farcical: a show for which the Deputy Leaders of both major parties (sorry for you AD guys) where invited to discuss this week’s events in Parliament. Instead of it, Labour sent (?) the Irrelevant person to discuss with nice guy Monday’s event. And what happened? The show was canceled, nice guy did not get out of his Green Room, the Irrelevant bursting out his anger of never been invited on State (PN?) television. If it were up to me, I would close State (PN) Television anyway as it is not impartial. It showed it clearly last Monday when the Irrelevant finally got his speech time in Parliament, the transmission of his speech was suddenly interrupted and replaced by irrelevant discussions with some paper journalist.
