UK media news source Insider Media, has reported that Sky Betting & Gaming (SB&G) has agreed to acquire industry mobile games and content developer Core Gaming.
At present Core Gaming is a key supplier of games content for SB&G operations. The acquisition will see the Leeds-based operator takeover Core Gaming’s games studio and development assets.
Deal terms remain undisclosed, however it has been reported that Core Gaming’s lead investor Steve Murray will exit the company, whilst SB&G will retain the services of Justin Chamberlain as Managing Director.
Speaking to Insider Media on the acquisition Conor Grant, Gaming Director at SB&G commented
“This acquisition makes what was already a close relationship even closer.
“CORE Gaming has been a key part of our mobile casino success story and we believe their unique position to understand our customers and build great content for our players will further drive our gaming business forward.”
Birmingham-based Orbis Partners acted as advisers on the sale of Core Gaming
