Anders Ström the founder and current Chairman of the Board of Unibet Group Plc (Unibet) has sold 1,493,800 shares in the Stockholm-listed European online betting operator.
Issuing a market update, Unibet governance confirmed that Ström had executed the share sale through Veralda Investment Ltd on the 31 of August.
Following the transaction, Veralda Investment owns 10,266,200 shares in Unibet, corresponding to approximately 4.5% of the shares and voting rights in the company.
Following a strong Euro 2016 performance, Unibet posted consecutive ‘all time’ revenue generating quarters in its half year 2016 financial update, recording year-to-date corporate profits of £33.5 million.
Closing its H1 2016 performance, Unibet governance stated that it was confident of hitting its full-year corporate targets.
Regarding the share sale, Ström representatives chose not comment on the Unibet Chairman’s position.
