Gamblit launches eSports platform at G2E Las Vegas

GamblitCalifornia-based real-money games specialist Gamblit Gaming (Gamblit) seeks to enter the burgeoning eSports market by unveiling its dedicated platform ‘G-Sports’ at G2E Las Vegas, global gambling’s biggest trade show.

Announcing its initial launch, the G-Sports platform will look to convert eSports content into popular slot-based games for its land-based partners. The platform sees Gamblit continue its corporate focus of making gambling content more accessible to younger ‘millennial’ audiences.

Unveiling G-Sports, Gamblit detailed that its content would not be ‘gamblified’ but instead set to a fee entry charged on a time-based tournament. Players compete and rank on a leaderboard that is updated in real-time with top players being rewarded at the end with cash prizes.

The launch sees popular combat game ‘Road Redemption’ feature as G-Sports first platform title.

Issuing a statement, Gamblit governance detailed that if successful the G-Sports platform would transform the ‘traditional gaming experience’, bringing eSports interaction to a wider audience.

This September, Gamblit announced its biggest games content partnership to date with US casino operator Caesars Entertainment Corporation (CEC). The partnership will see the roll-out of Gamblit syndicated real-money games throughout CEC California and Nevada properties.

Gamblit’s platform tweaks skill based and social games adding multi-format real-money mechanisms. The company’s mission statement implies that it wants to ‘bridge the gap between video games and gambling’.
