Star Sports the ‘luxury bookmaker’ has opened its new betting shop in the heart of Mayfair, taking up residence in one of UK betting’s most iconic premises.

The independent bookmaker takes over the BetVictor ‘Victor Chandler’ betting shop on Deanery Street, just metres away from the historic Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane.

The Deanery Street shop is revered in UK betting for its high-end clientele, having taken wagers from millionaire Mayfair residents including politicians, oversees royalty and business magnets.

Last night Star Sports launched its tenancy on Deanery Street, with former UKIP leader Nigel Farage being given the ribbon-cutting honours. Farage was joined at the shops opening by UK racing personalities John McCririck and Tanya Stevenson.

An enthusiastic Ben Keith Owner of Star Sports commented on the firms Mayfair opening

“This is another hugely exciting chapter in the history of Star Sports. It was a lifetime ambition for me to stand at some of the best pitches in the country and now opening a shop in Mayfair really is the icing on the cake.

“We currently provide all our customers with the very best service in the market and plan to do more of the same here in Mayfair. Come along and see for yourself.”

Independent bookmaker Star Sports continues to grow its presence in UK retail betting, last year the firm acquired 18 racecourse pitches from BetVictor at leading racecourses such as Ascot, Cheltenham, Goodwood and Sandown Park.
