The governance of gambling technology provider Novomatic Group (Novomatic) has confirmed that it has completed its acquisition of the Albanian National Lottery, strengthening the firm’s footprint within Eastern European gambling markets.
The deal sees Novomatic take over Albanian Lottery asset ‘Lotaria Kombëtare’ which was granted a 10-year license in 2012 for the provision of lottery services to Albanian consumers.
Novomatic governance were pleased to confirm its latest acquisition, stating that the firm was committed to growing its lottery services in South Eastern Europe.
Harald Neumann, Chief Executive of Novomatic, said: “Eastern and South Eastern Europe are among the core markets in which Novomatic has established an excellent position due to its early commitments.
“With the successful completion of the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Lotaria Kombëtare, we intend to further enhance this position and to implement our strategy as a full-service provider for the gaming industry in this region, as well.”
