BetBright has tapped into an online community with ‘an almost cult-like following’ by sponsoring the FM17 project by the Set Pieces.

The FM17 project is the brainchild of two Football Manager addicts, Ian Macintosh and Alex Stewart, who both acknowledge that they are past the ‘traditional age parameters’ for Football Manager players.

Macintosh and Stewart have taken control of teams in the Scottish Premiership, and will be documenting their progress on a game-by-game basis as they attempt to avoid the chop and bring a league title back to their club.

Conor White, Marketing Communications Manager at BetBright, said: “The FM17 project is something of a recent phenomenon. Adult Football Manager fans, once confined to covering the screen of their laptop in the presence of work colleagues, have now found an online community they can tap into.

“The FM17 project has gained an almost cult-like following built around a devoted fan base, and BetBright as a collection of like-minded sports fans is thrilled to be a part of such a community.”

Iain Macintosh, Founder of the FM17 project, added: “The new management team have arrived, bringing with them excitement and nerves in equal measure, Alex and I are under no illusions, the challenge is massive and as always our jobs are on the line.”

BetBright is focused on enhancing the fan experience via partnerships such as the FM project, which has twigged the imagination of a huge fan base around the world. The move directly associates the company with an online community consisting of the most dedicated sports fans.
