Karin-Joyce (KJ) Tjon
Updating the market Nasdaq-listed Scientific Games Corporation (SGC) has confirmed the appointment of Karin-Joyce (KJ) Tjon as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and President, the appointment will be effective from 13 February.
Reporting directly to Group CEO Kevin Sheehan, Tjon will be charged with leading SGC gaming and lottery operations, aiding business development strategies and further maintaining the firm’s fiscal disciplines.
A professional services technology veteran, Tjon joins SGC from legal systems provider Epiq where she served as Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (2014-2017).
SGC governance welcomed Tjon as new COO, stating that they had found an optimal candidate who could oversee all aspects of gaming’s operational value chain for legal, compliance, risk and financial provisions.
Welcoming Tjon to the leadership position, Scientific Games’ Chief Executive Officer Kevin Sheehan, said,
