GVC appoints former Virgin Group Exec Will Whitehorn as Senior Independent Director.

Following the presentation of its full-year 2016 results, the governance of FTSE-listed GVC Holdings (GVC) has further confirmed the appointment of Will Whitehorn as Senior Independent Director.

A UK business veteran Whitehorn has held various leadership positions within Virgin Group, have been founding director of Virgin Games and acting as President for the Virgin Galactic space program.

As a GVC governance and leadership advisor, Whitehorn’s core area of expertise relates to corporate communications, stakeholder management and corporate expansion practices.

Commenting on the appointment Lee Feldman, GVC’s Chairman, stated

“I am delighted that Will has agreed to join the Board and we look forward to working with him.  He brings a wealth of innovative commercial experience and corporate knowledge.  The appointment reflects the Company’s continuing commitment to broadening the skills-base of its Board and enhancing its corporate governance practices following the move to the Premium Segment [of the Official List] in 2016.”
