Matt Risdale joins Camelot as group corporate communications lead

UK National Lottery operator Camelot Group (Camelot) is set to gain a new head of corporate communications as PR Veteran Matt Risdale joins the firm’s leadership ranks.

Last week, Risdale confirmed to UK media news sources that he was joining Camelot, taking on the official title of Head of Strategic Communications, Risdale will take lead of both Camelot business and National Lottery PR processes and strategy.

Risdale joins Camelot’s leadership team from UK multi-national specialist communications firm Tavistock Communications, where he held the position of Joint-Chief Executive (2014-2017).

As a Tavistock executive team member since 2009, Risdale has worked with numerous multi-national companies in a number of sectors including technology, telecoms, oil & gas, mining and healthcare.

Tavistock governance confirmed the departure of Ridsdale to Camelot, thanking him for his contribution to company growth and help in establishing a the firm as a corporate PR leader.

Taking on the role  Head of Strategic Communications, Ridsdale will join the Camelot UK executive board and report to CEO Andy Duncan.
