TXODDS lands sponsorship deal with PDC player Daryl Gurney

Just over a month after confirming its first ever sponsorship deal with British boxer Tommy Langford, TXODDS has announced a new deal with darts player Daryl Gurney.

Gurney, who is in the top 20 on the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) Order of Merit for 2017, will be showcasing the TXODDS logo on his chest for the biggest televised tournaments.

The Northern Irishman enjoyed a breakthrough weekend in Barnsley last month after beating Kim Huybrechts 6-3 to claim his first ranking title at the Players Championship Seven and a prize of £10,000. This followed on quickly from his run to the semi-finals of the Coral UK Open in March.

Gurney said: “I am absolutely thrilled to have landed this sponsorship deal with TXODDS, which makes the world of difference to me with my aim of breaking into the top 16 of the world in 2017.”

TXODDS commented: “As a British company, TXODDS enjoys all British sports and wishes to promote its support and interest in them. This sponsorship will complement the free tournament previews from our darts expert, who will also be reviewing all of Daryl’s games on the TXODDS website.”

In December 2016, Gurney reached the quarter finals of the World Championships for the first time after beating Mark Webster. He departed in the last eight to eventual winner Michael van Gerwen.
