Matchroom Sports confirms 12BET as title sponsor of World Cup of Pool

Matchroom Sport has confirmed online bookmaker 12BET as the title sponsor of its upcoming ‘World Cup of Pool’ championship (13-18 June, York Hall – London).

The Isle of Man and Philippines-based bookmaker takes over the title sponsorship from competitor Dafabet.

In its twelfth addition, the World Cup of Pool features 32 international teams competing to be crowned the best at ‘pairs’ 8-ball pool.

The straight knockout championship has a $250,000 prize fund, with Chinese Taipei looking to become the first team to successfully defend its title.

Matchroom Sport details that 45 hours of live pool will be televised across multiple international sports broadcasters. As event title sponsor 12BET will have prominent branding throughout the York Hall arena.

Barry Hearn, Chairman of Matchroom Sport, commented on 12BET sponsorship: “We have enjoyed a successful relationship with 12BET through World Snooker and are pleased to be able to build on that partnership with the 12BET World Cup of Pool.”
