Updating the market, Playtech betting subsidiary Playtech BGT Sports (PBS) is gearing up for a critical new European football season detailing that it has enhanced its Self-Service Betting Terminal (SSBT) capabilities.

Ahead of season’s kick off, PBS has added new dynamics to its terminals including a new ‘Goalscorer Coupon’, as well as ‘Asian Handicap’ betting lines for the first time, with both products set to greatly improve match coupon building capabilities for customers.

Its new Goalscorer Coupon will highlight a list of likely scorers across multiple popular matches, following recent statistics suggesting anytime scorer betting is now outstripping first scorer bets by almost three to one.

Adding further dynamics, PBS Asian Handicap offering will let customers take advantage of more flexible and competitive two-way total goal and handicap lines across major football leagues. PBS will further maximise player engagement on its terminals with an immersive 22” screens option.

John Pettit, Playtech BGT Sport’s UK, Ireland, Asia and Australia Managing Director, commented ahead of the new European football season:

“High street bookies are facing their fair share of challenges, but the progress and increased profitability of SSBTs has been very positive, as they are successfully providing the choice and ease-of-use that today’s customers demand.

“Our SSBTs help our operator partners drive incremental revenues and we’re confident that our enhanced product range, new coupons, and greater functionality will help that further.”

Playtech PBS states that its terminals will offer the most diverse betting experience for football customers, as the company its services available across 1,000 competitions in more than 120 countries.

Furthermore, In-store customers will also see an improved all-round service, with a greater range of matches present across hundreds of recently-installed terminals in prime position for TV coverage.
