Checkd Media, the owner of affiliate brand FootyAccumulators, has joined the latest trend for affiliate consolidation and extended its brand portfolio with the acquisition of Oddschanger and its related assets for an undisclosed figure.
Checkd Media has purchased UK based Oddschanger, a sports betting social media affiliate business, from founder Will Tyrrell. Oddschanger was established in 2013 and now has over 120,000 followers and fans.
Tyrrell will be employed by Checkd Media in the role of Head of Oddschanger. He said: “I’m really excited to join the team after following the progression of the company for many years. I can’t wait to get involved and do what I can to help the market leaders continue to dominate the industry.”
Jamie Knowlson, CEO of Checkd Media, added: “Oddschanger is a brilliant brand and more importantly Will is a fantastic addition to the team here, we’re really pleased and believe Oddschanger will become a very strong brand within the industry. There are some changes that need to be made with investment into the website and social growth, but I’m sure we will see Oddschanger become a key part of our portfolio.’’
Knowlson said that Checkd Media will continue to look for other acquisition opportunities.
