Scout Gaming appoints Johan Öhman as Director of Excellence

European daily fantasy sports (DFS) solutions provider Scout Gaming has confirmed the appointment of former NetEnt Chief Executive Johan Öhman as its new Director of Business Excellence.

A seasoned industry executive, Öhman served as Chief Executive of leading industry games developer NetEnt from 2006 to 2011, guiding the enterprise through its initial public offering on the Stockholm Nasdaq in 2009.

The appointment sees Öhman return to the betting sector having most recently served as CEO of digital securities network Clavister (2016-2017).

Taking on the leadership position, Öhman will advise Scout Gaming on building effective operations, stakeholder management and creating commercial utilities.

“Scout is in a similar position as NetEnt back in early 2000, addressing a new and rapidly growing market with a market leading and innovative solution,” said Öhman.

“The social drivers behind the game are easy to understand and the technological solution offers a smooth and easy integration for B2B customers.”

Scout Gaming chief executive Andreas Ternström commented on the appointment: “Johan Öhman is a gambling veteran with great knowledge from building successful companies.

“In addition to his wide understanding of the gambling sector he will, in particular, bring his knowledge about business processes and strategic planning to Scout.”
