Scientific Games Wins Kansas Lottery's 10-year Systems Contract

Scientific Games has agreed terms on a 10-year lottery gaming systems and related services contract with the Kansas Lottery in the US.

Under the agreement, Scientific Games will provide the Kansas Lottery with its advanced lottery system platform, products and marketing services in an effort to maximise profits.

Kansas Lottery had been using systems from another lottery supplier since its inception 30 years ago, but will switch to Scientific Games technology in July of next year.

Technology covered by the deal includes WAVE X lottery retail terminals, part of the Scientific Games commerce-ready family of WAVE terminals, and AEGIS, its open-architecture gaming system.

AEGIS also offers the SciTrak Ultra instant games inventory management system and OrderCast predictive ordering engine, while Scientific Games will also supply additional automated workflow from AEGIS to support back office processes.

In addition, Scientific Games will deploy Infuse, an offering of products, services and expertise that it said helps lotteries to plan, predict, inform and innovate through the use of actionable business intelligence.

Scientific Games already supplies the Kansas Lottery with instant games and also sales force management technology, through its acquisition of Lapis Software Associates earlier this year.

Our new gaming system from Scientific Games aligns with the Kansas Lottery’s goals and vision for the future, which places more emphasis on advanced technology to enhance the Kansas Lottery’s overall performance,” – said, Kansas Lottery executive director Terry Presta.

We selected Scientific Games as a technology business partner because we believe their technology solution can enhance our player insights, game innovation and retail operations, and ultimately help us maximise profits for our state beneficiaries in Kansas.

Patrick McHugh, senior vice-president, lottery systems at Scientific Games, added: “Our technology, product innovations and very successful implementations in both US and international jurisdictions is proving that Scientific Games is the business partner of choice to enable lotteries to maximise profits and serve their retailers and players with continually advancing convenience, flexibility and security.
