6 of the Best – 1xBet’s Evgeniy Kiriushin

Last Thursday, SBC News relaunched its popular ‘6 of the Best’ series, taking a closer look at some of the key personnel within the sports betting and gaming industries.

This week, we caught up with Evgeniy Kiriushin, Head of Business Development at 1xBet, to find out about his personal favourites.

Best Holiday

One of the best holidays was when I went with friends on a wild trip with a tan around Iceland! It was good opportunity to reset my mind, enjoy freedom and cohesion with nature, and understand how big the world is and how important it is that we keep our planet green!

Best Album

Muse – Absolution, 2003; it is a great combination of alternative and rock music with the amazing voice of Matthew Bellamy. My generation grew up with these songs. Even now when I listen to Hysteria or Time is running out I get goose bumps.

Best Film

Difficult question, but I think that the Matrix is my favourite one. For me, all films in the same or similar genre take something from The Matrix. It was a revolution in film industry, given that now when I watch 90% of films I can say “this idea was in The Matrix”.

Best Sporting Experience

I’m a fan of Anastasia Kuzmina; the Olympics in 2018 was for me one of the most interesting and exciting because she got two silver medals and one gold!

Best Book

The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky. Dostoevsky’s last and greatest novel is both a brilliantly told crime story and a passionate philosophical debate. By reading this book you can learn about religion, free willing and morality fighting at the same time. The book contains great life lessons and questions which everyone should ask themselves.

Best App

I have two favourites. The first is Nike+ Running – it is really useful application for people who like running, it tracks your run, checks your time and gives you feedback during the run, while allowing you to programme the achievement you want to reach and set a training plan.

The second one is Cyklomapy – in this application you can find plenty of exciting cycling roads, each with a different level of difficulty. You will never get lost even if you lose internet connection.
