Timeform delivers “fresh” horse racing setup for LeoVegas

Smoother ‘Next Off’ navigation, a clearer race overview and more detailed information about previous performances for each runner are just some of the improvements made to the horse racing coverage on LeoVegas, after the mobile-focused gaming group secured a new racing client in Timeform.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Paddy Power Betfair, Timeform specialises in collecting, analysing and packaging horse racing data and content for its customers. The revamped horse racing coverage on LeoVegas was released on 7 March, just a few days before the start of this year’s Cheltenham Festival.

Bradley Callus, Sports Manager in Growth Markets for LeoVegas, made the following comments about the new horse racing setup provided by Timeform.

“The fresh new horse racing section on LeoVegas is complete with all the information, stats and form you need for a day at the races,” he said. “Once the punter has chosen the race they want to bet on, they are taken to the full race card with more available markets to bet on.

“It is also significantly easier for the punter to move between one race and another, with each race categorised according to country, date and meeting.

“The timing of this new product rollout was a clear indication of our new racing focus, inspired in part by our successful Cheltenham debut last year. In particular, the separated ‘Next Off’ navigation proved a real hit with our players during a busy week for LeoVegas.”

The LeoVegas sportsbook is powered by Kambi, who saw two of its other clients, Unibet and 888, lead the way for overround % at Cheltenham 2018 according to Oddschecker insights on EGR Intel.

The Festival was a big loss-maker for the sports betting industry after a succession of short-priced favourites, many of them Irish-trained, raced to victory over the four days of action.
