BetVictor launches ‘The Million Pound Bet’ World Cup competition

BetVictor has unveiled its ‘The Million Pound Bet’ competition, which guarantees to give away in excess of £1,000,000 during the course of the fast approaching Russia World Cup.

The online bookmaker is to give away the sum of one million pounds to the customer who places a winning bet with the biggest odds on any World Cup market, with punters needing to stake a minimum of £1 to qualify.

Should there be more than one winner the prize will be equally shared, with the company also stating the any pre-existing World Cup bets placed before the launch are to be backdated.

All winning bets placed during the tournament are to be automatically entered into The Million Pound Bet competition, with customers also able to track progress on a leaderboard on the BetVictor site.

As well as the £1,000,000 overall jackpot, a daily prize of £5,000 is to also be given away, to the customer who places a single winning bet with the highest odds, on each of the twenty-five match days throughout the tournament

Again, this is to also be shared if there’s more than one daily winner, and will bring the total guaranteed giveaway during the World Cup to £1,125,000.

Eoin Ryan, BetVictor Head of Product, said: “We’re incredibly excited about the World Cup which will be the highlight of the sporting year.

“The Million Pound Bet is the culmination of a lot of hard work behind the scenes to ensure we give customers real value and a great betting experience during the forthcoming World Cup with an opportunity to win a fantastic prize for a minimum stake of one pound.

“Our recently launched #PriceItUp Builder will be a perfect product for customers to use as they seek to create a bet that could top the leaderboard. Hopefully it encourages customers to trust their instinct and embrace the unpredictable.”

The Million Pound Bet is the second such giveaway for BetVictor, and follows its successful Million Pound Goal campaign that ran through the Euro 2016 tournament.
