ARC and Vermantia launch European Racing Channel

The Arena Racing Company (ARC) and Vermantia have announced the official launch of the European Racing Channel, which both parties describe as “the most complete offering of its kind worldwide”.

Available via both satellite and streaming services, the new channel is set to feature a daily schedule compromising of at least 40,000 live premier thoroughbred and greyhound races per year.

Produced and distributed from the Vermantia content hub, located in its Athens base, the European Racing Channel is to feature in excess of 15 hours of live racing, broadcast live from racecourses in the United Kingdom, Australia, South Africa and the USA, and is designed in such a way to cover the retail opening hours of betting operators across Europe.

Antony Hopkins, ARC’s Director of International Markets, commented: “We are delighted to be able to provide betting operators with the most comprehensive live racing service based on Vermantia’s operational strengths and international reach.

“The launch of the European Racing Channel enables operators to receive a service with live racing from Tier 1 jurisdictions with a heritage of quality and integrity.  This compelling proposition will work for the bookmaker and maximise the return to racing”

Powered by the Vermantia connect platform, the service comes complete with “a rich and fully documented race data feed,” with bespoke versions of the channel, including custom scheduling and content mix, also being available.

Yiannis Gangas, Vermantia’s Chief Product Officer, said, “The European Racing Channel is a unique product in the international markets due to its unbeatable combination of top quality content from ARC, extended time-coverage, cutting-edge design and single data feed integration.

“As such, we are very happy that the service has already been adopted by operators in Europe in line with a growing demand from the market for our quality and fast-paced live racing channels.”
