Playtech BGT strengthens ‘OPAP legacy’ completing retail systems upgrade

FTSE-listed Playtech Plc has confirmed that it sports betting subsidiary Playtech BGT has successfully completed the roll-out and systems upgrade for OPAP, Greece’s largest gambling operator.

Updating the market, Playtech BGT completes its OPAP terminal delivery and systems upgrade project first announced in September 2017.

OPAP’s entire 4,000 Greek retail betting premises will be powered Playtech BGT modules, supplying Service Betting Terminals (SSBTs) and over-the-counter (OTC) services.

The systems upgrade will see OPAP significantly bolster its pre-match and in-play retail betting offering, whilst further optimising its day-to-day betting shop network management and in-store customer engagements.
