Gambling revenue rises by 17% in Macau

Gambling revenue continues to soar in the Chinese territory of Macau, as it increased by 17% in August.  The increase was mainly because of the active gaming by Chinese gamblers, who flocked in the country’s only legal casino hub.

This is the 25th consecutive month that gambling revenues increase in Macau.

Figures from Macau’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau out on Saturday showed revenues rose 17 per cent to 26.6 billion patacas ($3.3 billion) versus analyst expectations of 15–17 per cent growth.
