Delaware, which offered license to legalised sports betting two months ago, is reaping rich revenue rewards. The latest revenue report from the Delaware Sports Lottery indicates that the net revenue from sports betting increased by 53 per cent.

The net earnings between July 30 and August 26 were US$706k as increase of US$246 K from the same figure last month. The rise can be clearly attributed to the introduction of sports betting, because it was achieved despite a 6 per cent decrease in money wagered.

Delaware Park was the facility that took in the biggest share of revenue, with US$482k, and was followed by Dover Downs, which totalled revenue of US$152k. The third position in the state was occupied by Harrington Raceway, which reported US$72k.

Moreover, Delaware Park also took in 71 per cent of total stakes for the year-to-date, which equates to US$16.3 million. Net revenue for the year-to-date in Delaware is approximately a little over US$2 million, from just under US$23 million wagered in the state.
