Luckbox commits to highest level of esports integrity monitoring joining ESIC

Lars Lien – Luckbox

Dedicated esports betting operator Luckbox, has confirmed that it has become the latest industry incumbent to join the Esports Integrity Coalition (ESIC).

Founded in 2016, ESIC is an independent integrity monitoring body, which aims to safeguard all-levels of competitive esports against cheating, match-fixing and corruption.

Isle of Man licensed Luckbox, an enterprise which gearing for its full platform launch in early 2019, states that it will adhere to ESIC guidance and codes of conduct when tackling esports corruption matters.

Commenting on the update, Luckbox CEO Lars Lien said: “Along with building an amazing platform, we have a strong focus on integrity and want to offer the highest levels of protection and security for our players. Esports has suffered in the past due to a lack of regulation, particularly related to betting, and this has undermined trust in the wider industry.

“Thankfully, this is changing now and we are determined to help to clean up the esports betting space. I am a great admirer of the work ESIC does and we are delighted to be able to say we are now members.

Ian Smith – ESIC

Furthermore, the joint cooperation will see, Luckbox and ESIC share operational knowledge, data and resources when tackling esports integrity or corruption matters

Backing Luckbox as new integrity partner Ian Smith, ESIC Integrity Commissioner, said: “It is always gratifying to welcome new members into ESIC and Luckbox is a fantastic addition to our coalition.

“It improves the global reach and effectiveness of our suspicious bet alert network and enhances our participant education programme.
“Responsible betting operators like Luckbox are the core of safe gambling on safe esports events and we look forward to working with them to provide punters with a great experience and esports with a secure interface between tournaments and gambling on those tournaments.”
