Rank trials Immotion immersive VR at Grosvenor Casino Manchester
UK legacy gambling operator Rank Group Plc is set to trial the immersive virtual reality technology of Immotion Group Ltd, seeking to deliver one-of-kind experiences to its UK venue customers.
Agreeing terms on a revenue share deal, Rank will initially trial an Immotion VR pod within its Grosvenor Casino Manchester property showcasing Immotion’s ‘VR Racing Challenge’ simulator game.
Should the trial prove successful, Rank will move to launch Immotion pods across 53 of its Grosvenor UK venues, with Immotion becoming the gambling group’s ‘virtual reality partner of choice’.
Founded in 2017 by CGI and tech veteran Martin Higginson (CEO) and David Marks (Finance Director), Manchester-based Immotion seeks to deliver effective VR content and experiences for all types of commercial environments, enhancing customer engagements and branding.
“We continue to see strong interest from major leisure operators wanting to partner with Immotion Group to exploit the growing appetite for VR,” said chief executive Martin Higginson.
“As the only player offering quality proprietary content, motion platform and marketing solutions in multiple jurisdictions, we are quickly becoming the VR partner of choice.”
