New look SKS365 forms ‘expert body’ leading corporate compliance

Italian gambling group SKS365 – the operating company of Planetwin365 – has established a new supervisory body to oversee its legal and compliance directives.

The compliance body will be led by former Carabinieri (Italian national guard) Brigadier General Massimo Ignesti, who will serve as Chairman.

Ignesti will be supported by Professor Ranieri Razzante as Deputy Chairman. He is a legal scholar in anti-crime legislation at the University of Bologna and government advisor on AML measures.

Cybersecurity expert Stefano Mele, President of the Cyber Security Commission of the Italian Atlantic Committee, and leading barrister Antonio Conte complete the SKS365 supervisory body.

SKS365 details that the body will function as an ‘independent control’, working alongside the firm’s legal, compliance and AML departments to ensure that audit and risk management duties are carried out across the business.

SKS365’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Italian Country Manager Francesco Gaziano stated: “We continue to attract high-profile, leading professionals and recognised experts. Our talent pool is becoming a distinctive competitive advantage. We keep investing in compliance, risk management and internal controls.

“In fact, we believe that compliance is a competitive lever and creates value by improving reputation, enhancing transparency, and reducing operational risk for the benefit of our customers and employees.”

In 2019, SKS365 has undertaken wholesale changes to its leadership structures following the departure of former Chief Executive Ian McLoughlin and his executive management team.

During Q1 trading, SKS365 announced the formation of its new-look management team formed by Gaziano as CMO, Jim Parkins as Chief Product and Technology Officer, Brian Dean as Chief People Officer and Troy Cox as Chief Commercial Officer.

Furthermore, the Italian betting group has strengthened its legal and compliance capacities by appointing Bepi Pezzulli as group General Counsel, supported by political figurehead Maurizio Bernardo as a regulatory advisor.
