Veikkaus Finland confirms Regina Sippel as inbound CFO
Continuing it’s executive team restructure, Finnish gambling monopoly Veikkaus has confirmed the inbound appointment of Regina Sippel as new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
A fresh industry executive, Sippel joins Veikkaus leadership team from LSE listed UK travel group Thomas Cook, where she formerly served as CFO of the travel operator’s Northern Europe division.
Sippel will be tasked with leading the financial management, planning and risk management of an enlarged Veikkaus group, as Finnish government and health stakeholders pressure the state monopoly to improve its social responsibility standards.
This summer, Chief Executive Olli Sarekoski confirmed the Veikkaus would stop operating its gaming machines across Finnish leisure properties (restaurants, gas stations, kiosks) – reaffirming that the monopoly would no longer be reliant on slot machines as a vertical.
Supporting responsibility directives, Veikkaus has committed to be add new age verification provisions across its entire gaming portfolio by 2022.
