Luckbox adds five new languages to esports domain

Following a period of unprecedented growth during lockdown, esports bookmaker Luckbox has added five new languages to its wagering platform.

Luckbox, which is planning its Toronto TSX Ventures Exchange IPO this summer, has added German, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese and ‘simplified Chinese’ language options to its domain.

Further foreign languages options form part a series of ‘rapid enhancements’ undertaken by the company during the lockdown period, which has seen Luckbox add four new premier esports wagering markets – FIFA, NBA2K, Rocket League and Rainbow Six Siege.

Last week, Luckbox leadership announced that it had raised a further CAD $3.8 million, having completed an oversubscribed funding round.

In its IPO prospectus, Luckbox stated that the company has seen a 500% increase in betting volume since March trading.

Luckbox’s Director of Product Karl Bray said: “We built the entire Luckbox project around the philosophy ‘Esports Betting Done Right’, so – as we welcome new players from all over the world – it seems only right they should join a community that speaks their language.

“The appeal of esports is truly global and we know that esports fans respond to brands that share their values. We’re excited that this update gives us the opportunity to communicate new features and share our passion for competitive gaming directly with our players.”
