HooYu leads Midnite Esports KYC makeover

New esports wagering platform Midnite has moved to strengthen all components related to its KYC and ID verification disciplines, partnering with digital customer onboarding specialist HooYu.

Launched at the start of the year, Midnite seeks to become a leading esports wagering platform, offering players the most comprehensive selection of live watch-&-bet markets on esports’ most popular games including CS:GO, League of Legends, DOTA 2 and further pro tournaments.

Following a period of unprecedented growth during lockdown, Midnite confirmed that it has appointed HooYu to upgrade and safeguard all core components related to customer on-boarding.

Serving as Midnite’s KYC lead, HooYu will provide a range of bespoke compliance solutions covering database monitoring, ID document validation, facial recognition and identity confidence scoring technology.

Our partnership with HooYu has enabled us to rapidly expand our growth operations while maintaining the highest levels of integrity,” said Sujoy Roy, Marketing Director for Midnite.

“As an esports bookmaker, our registration process must be fast and accurate to satisfy the demands of our gaming audience. The new KYC integration with HooYu has allowed us to begin acquiring customers outside of the UK, while maintaining the same quality of customer experience we are known for.”

Hooyu underlined that its tailored compliance solutions will be embedded within Midnite’s UI and UX systems, providing no friction with its client’s sign-up processes and customer conversion success rates.

David Pope, Marketing Director at HooYu, said: “With a younger and more geographically diverse esports demographic, the HooYu digital KYC journey is ideal.

“Younger, digitally savvy users are whisked through the HooYu journey and our language detection tools automatically serve the HooYu UI in the default language making it easier for users to understand what they need to do to pass KYC and bet on their favourite game.”
