Miomni completes ‘360 platform play’ with i-Pools investment

Gambling technology supplier Miomni has acquired a majority stake in UK licenced betting business i-Pools as it aims to provide a comprehensive range of solutions to the market.

The deal means that i-Pools will now be rebranded as MiPOOLS, enabling current and prospective stakeholders in the sports betting and gaming ecosystem to offer ‘softer’ gaming alternatives to their customer bases.

Miomni Gaming CEO Mike Venner expressed how pleased he was to be adding this ‘forward-thinking innovative technology of pools and fantasy fun betting’ to its already ‘ground breaking’ sports betting and casino portfolio.

He explained: “We are really excited to be bringing MiPOOLS into the Miomni stable. This completes the Miomni 360 platform play. We now have an unprecedented integrated product offering covering Sports betting, iCasino, Exchange wagering, Pool and fantasy betting, Geolocation and our ground breaking marketing and retention tools such as our newly released Wager [THIS] Live video recognition technology.”

MiPOOLS’ features now include:

  • Last Man Standing: where customers make a winning pick to progress to the next round of games until only one remains
  • Fantasy: where customers can back their own skill and judgement to pick players to form their own fantasy team and compete against others
  • Streak: which takes customers to make a 50:50 selection each day wit the challenge to maintain a winning streak
  • Score Predator: Predict the correct score of an individual chosen match, or group matches to win cash jackpot prizes

Mionmi’s Wager [THIS] Live made its debut this month at the Betting on Sports America Digital conference and has been branded as ‘Shazam for the sports betting visual age’. It has been lauded as a new ground breaking product which allows customers to hold up a Miomni sports betting mobile app to any live game on any screen (TV at home or a big screen in a bar) and the video recognition technology will instantly take the user straight to bet on the live game that is being shown.
