National Bingo Day officially comes to the UK

For a number of years, National Bingo Day has been recognised and celebrated in the US on June 27^th, but not officially in the UK.  Championed by Mecca Bingo and Buzz Bingo, as well as being supported by the Bingo Association, the date is now an official awareness day in the UK calendar and is set to bring a welcome boost to the sector.

A celebration of the love of bingo, the invitation is now open to all licensed operators, across venues and digital, to register their interest in supporting and celebrating the day.

By signing up, you’ll be added to a mailing list. As plans are worked up and other bingo operators are engaged to support the planning and activation around a day (and potentially week) of celebrations.

Miles Baron Chief Executive of the Bingo Association stated:

“The Bingo Association and the National Bingo Game are delighted to be taking part in National Bingo Day on June 27^th, working alongside operators from land based clubs and online to bring everyone together to celebrate the great game of bingo that we all love”.

The teams from Buzz and Mecca are helping to set up a working group with the BA, assigning roles to help with the coordination, marketing and PR, ensuring that it helps to raise awareness of bingo for the benefit of the entire sector from the smallest independent to the largest chains.

And all ideas are welcome – this is an opportunity to really shine the spotlight on bingo and create a lot of excitement, so the request is that you register your interest now!
