IGT renews WLA certification with pledge to lead of responsible gambling
IGT Plc has announced its lottery operations has been recertified by the World Lottery Association for its Corporate Social Responsibility Standards and Responsible Gaming Framework for Suppliers.
The certification was developed by the WLA to reduce gambling harms by incentivising operators with a worldwide accreditation program.
IGT has reinforced its commitment to social responsibility through its actions with stakeholders, such as collaboration with responsible gaming groups, employees and its customers to promote the message of gambling safely.
“Responsible gaming is engrained into the fabric of what we do at IGT, from our products to our people and programs, it remains at the forefront of all decisions,” said Wendy Montgomery, IGT SVP, Marketing, Communications and Sustainability.
“This recertification from WLA reinforces our leadership and commitment as a responsible vendor, as well as demonstrates the effectiveness of our responsible gaming technologies that we provide to our lottery customers worldwide.”
IGT was assessed by the WLA-approved assessor, EY, which provided an independent auditors report assessing the firm’s performance based on eight WLA parameters: research, employee programs, product and service development, remote gaming environment, advertising and marketing communications, client awareness, stakeholder engagement and reporting.
