Meta Opens Metaverse Store In San Francisco Helping People Connect With The New Reality

Facebook’s parent company, rebranded last year to Meta, is launching a retail store in the San Francisco Peninsula where it will offer hardware for the virtual reality space.

In an announcement on Monday, Meta said it is opening a retail store in Burlingame, California on May 9, located on the Meta Campus.

Featuring a a wall-to-wall curved LED screen that displays what users see using Meta headsets, the store is aimed at providing interactive demos for the firm’s hardware products, which includes virtual reality headsets, video communications displays and smart glasses.

Martin Gilliard, Head of the new Meta Store, commented:

“The Meta Store is going to help people make that connection to how our products can be the gateway to the Metaverse in the future.

We’re not selling the Metaverse in our store, but hopefully people will come in and walk out knowing a little bit more about how our products will help connect them to it.”
