The sorry state of Maltese politics

Around 50 days are left to the upcoming elections in Malta. The actual ruling party will be surely replaced by a new labour government. More than 20 years of Nationalist ruling has left its mark and lately irked many followers. Too many mislead projects have left their marks: Smart City, public transport, the energy policy. People will vote for a change, just for a change. I never will understand how the electorate accept the current sorry state of the Maltese electoral system, where absolutely no party financing law exist, where the only two parties in Parliament have their own media (television, radio and newspapers) to broadcast their opinions, where the electoral system does not permit a smaller party to get its representation in Parliament, where Maltese are either born blue or red, where state television is the voice of the government?

I would be at despair if I would have to vote…
