Saviour Balzan published yesterday his book “Saying as it is”, recounting his last 35 years of personal experience in Malta, his evolution from an environmental activist to a publisher of several newspaper, magazines and tv shows. His book is a page turner, wherein Saviour mixed his witty writing style with his personal views on politics. I would recommend everyone interested in Maltese politics to read it, to get a maybe slightly different view on local history. Beside that, the earnings of his book go directly to the libel fund of Maltatoday. Unfortunately Malta has antiquated libel laws, mainly used by the establishment to silence critic journalism. And there is no sight on the horizon that these laws will be changed by the established parties.
