Following this weekend revelation that both leading political parties owe in total several millions to ARMS, I expect the Maltese Minister of Energy to explain the situation and inform the public how ARMS will recover the outstanding amounts. I further expect the Minister to explain why the management of ARMS, Enemalta and WSC have been replaced by Labour Party lenient persons, in clear conflict interest with the actual situation of outstanding payments. While the public is expected to pay its water and electricity bills in time or incur penalties or even disconnection, both leading political parties seem to enjoy particular privileges.
