‘4 More Years’…ICC extends Opta data partnership

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that it has extended its data collection and distribution partnership with Opta for a further four years.

Perform Group subsidiary Opta will continue to be official data and analysis partner to the ICC and its syndicated events including all levels of the ICC World Cup and Twenty20 tournaments.

Opta extends its data partnership with ICC which was first formed in May 2013.

Ross MacEacharn CEO, Perform Content commented on the partnership extension “Opta has a proven track record in delivering fast, detailed and accurate cricket data and we are delighted to continue our relationship with the ICC.

“This partnership will enable some of cricket’s most prestigious tournaments to benefit from Opta data and we look forward to working with the ICC, their partners and the global cricket media over the next four years.”

Aarti Singh Dabas, ICC Head of Media Rights, Broadcast & Digital said: “Data has now become an integral part of ICC’s content and digital channels. Opta is a market leader in collection and distribution of cricket data and we are happy that this deal provides ICC and its partners greater access to official data.”
