You may have heard it by now, and if not head straight to Youtube because The Manic Street Preachers have debuted their official Wales Euros 2016 anthem titled ‘Stronger Together (C’Mon Wales)’.
William Hill has priced them 4/1 to score a number one single with the track which includes the line ‘with Ashely William we can win any fight’ amongst plenty more excellent name drops.
William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly stated: “The Manics have a loyal fanbase and given that this is the first new material for two years, it is quite likely the single will be picked up by football fans and non-football fans alike.”
With the official Euro 2016 anthem having been announced in the form of ‘This One’s For You’ by David Guetta and featuring Zara Larsson, it’s also being speculated as to who will record this year’s big England football tune.
William Hill is running a market on which will the the highest charting as of Sunday July 10th, with Stormzy the current favourite at 3/1, ahead of Baddiel and Skinner at 7/1 and Olly Murs at 9/1. Ant & Dec are at 16/1 with the bookmaker clearly not expecting the comedy duo to release a follow up to their 2002 number ‘We’re On The Ball’.
