With HBO’s Game of Thrones now into its sixth series and having sped past author’s George RR Martin’s original books, it’s anyone’s guess who will end up seated on the Iron Throne. 
With the mammoth cult following of the show and book series leading to plenty of theories and predictions in its online fandom, bookmaker William Hill is allowing enthusiasts to put their money where their mouth is by opening a market on who will rule the Seven Kingdoms come the end of the television show.
Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen, played by Emilia Clarke, is the favourite at 3/1. This is perhaps influenced by the latest episode in which she seemingly acquired yet another huge and powerful Dothraki army to do her biding. The next three reportedly in the running are Winterfell’s finest; greenseer Bran Stark at 4/1, back from the dead Jon Snow at 9/2 and Sansa Stark at 11/2.
The remaining Stark, Rickon, is well priced at 25/1 and could prove a solid gamble, though his current situation is admittedly precarious.
William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly said of the matter: “We are four episodes deep into series six and it the power struggles show no sign of letting up. It looks as though almost anybody could end up as the winner of the Game of Thrones – as long as they survive until the end of the final series.”
