Two men from Essex have been charged under the UK Gambling Commission’s gambling act. This is widely believed to be the first such prosecution in the UK on betting related to gaming. 
The pair have been named as Dylan Rigby and Craig ‘NephentheZ’ Douglas and were charged for advertising unlawful gambling and promoting a lottery.
Douglas has been involved with making Youtube videos for FutGalaxy and as such included in his charges is ‘inviting children to gamble’.
FutGalaxy is a betting site focused on FIFA and its Youtube channel has since shut down, whilst UK visitors to the site now receive a message stating ‘This page is not visible in your country’.
Douglas and Rigby are listed as directors of the Companies House listed Game Gold Tradings Limited. Douglas is noted as joining on October 1st 2015 whilst Rigby is stated as starting on July 22nd 2014. This is listed on FutGalaxy’s website as the site’s address.
The court case for the pair has been adjourned by Birmingham Magistrates Court until October 14th.
