William Hill makes COD not FIFA 17 its Christmas favourite

Even if you don’t know your League of Legends from your CSGO you can still bet on gaming at William Hill with the bookmaker offering a market for which title will be the Christmas number one video game.

As it stands Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has recaptured the top spot in the gaming charts and is priced a strong favourite at 2/5 to capture the third year in a row. As many would have expected FIFA 17 is in second place in the betting at 7/4 and it looks like a straight race between the two with few other contenders. Next in line is the latest in the Final Fantasy franchise all the way out at 12/1.

COD’s direct contender Battlefield 1 is out there at 20/1 despite generally being the better reviewed of the pair.

 William Hill Spokesman Joe Crilly commented: “It looks like a straight shootout between COD and FIFA, as it has been for the past couple of years and Activision look to once again have the march on EA.”

If gaming isn’t your thing, William Hill also has a Christmas focused TV market with Mrs Brown’s Boys the favourite to be the most watched TV show on Christmas Day. The bookmaker has placed  at 7/4 just ahead of the Strictly Christmas Special at 2/1.

Crilly continued: “Mrs Brown’s Boys has won the race the last couple of years to be the most watched show but this year, the success of Strictly and the fact that this is the last GBBO on the beeb means that one of these two could steal the crown.”
