Industry hi-definition games provider Leander Games (Leander) has confirmed the appointment of David Newstead as its first Sales Director as the firm seeks to expand its commercial and partnership footprint.

A ten-year industry veteran, Newstead has worked in various executive roles within the igaming sector, focusing on games development, marketing and player acquisition.

Newstead joins Leander as the company seeks to bring its portfolio of hi-definition games to leading European betting/i-gaming brands.

Steven Matsell, CEO of Leander, commented on the appointment of Newstead: “Having known David for some time through our game partner relationship with Probability Jones, we’re delighted that he has joined us.

“We have ambitious plans to grow our presence across Europe, and his drive and understanding of working with operators, content providers, and B2B aggregators will be key to achieving our goals.”

Heading up Leander commercial strategy, David Newstead, stated: “With an exciting roadmap already in place, the opportunity to join Leander at this time was hard to resist.

“It’s a pleasure to be given the chance to work with such an ambitious and passionate team, and the creative and talented studios already on the journey with the business.”

“Our focus has to be on quality content and games that stand out in a crowded market. I will use my experience to identify what operators and their customers want, delivering relevant and attractive content that blends familiarity and innovation to help drive player engagement.”
