Ladbrokes Coral appoints The7stars as lead media agency

London independent full-service marketing agency The7stars has been awarded the consolidated media planning and buying account of FTSE-listed bookmaker Ladbrokes Coral, valued at an estimated £40 million.

Completing its £2.3 billion merger last November, Ladbrokes Coral governance has begun to implement the new enterprise’s post-merger operational strategy seeking short-term corporate savings of between £60-70 million.

Following a closed pitch, Ladbrokes Coral marketing awards its multimillion account to The7Stars, who have handled Gala Coral media planning since 2011. The decision sees Ladbrokes drop its long-term incumbent agency Blue 449.

The restructure of Ladbrokes Coral operations, has seen the company promote Dan Staples former Ladbrokes Head of Brand & Advertising to the position of Group Marketing Director (appointment made this February).

Ladbrokes Coral confirmed the appointment of The7stars as lead media planning and buying agency to UK marketing news source Campaign Live.
