William Hill – Can Jeremy Corbyn survive 2017 as Labour Party Leader?

The Labour Party maintaining its ‘heartland seat’ of Stoke-on-Trent, may have seen Jeremy Corbyn avoid complete political disaster last week. However, Labour’s leader still has a daunting task ahead of him if he is to stand as official Party representative for the next General Election.

Growing unrest in ‘camp Labour’ regarding leadership has led to senior party officials denying numerous ‘in-house leaks’ of supposed in-party mutiny seeking to replace Jeremy.

Updating its Labour related betting markets, William Hill politics has priced at 4/5 that Corbyn ‘will not see the end of the year’. Furthermore, William Hill has priced Clive Lewis (MP for Norwich South, former Shadow Business Minister) and Keir Starmer (MP for Holborn and Shadow Brexit secretary) at 5/1 joint-favourites to be Corbyn’s elected successor.

‘Mr Corbyn may believe that this race does not yet have a starting date, but there are plenty of contenders clearly in training ,and just waiting for the runners to come under orders’ commented  William Hill politics spokesman Graham Sharpe.
